Thanks for putting the pics on Derek. I just had to have them on here as JT thinks I live on a mountain top in a log cabin.

Jack, I forgot to mention, in my last post when we were in Port Antonio, word was some local asked Errol if he would like the company of a young lassie. He replied “Oh no just find me a nice young lad”.

Dave.
The story about the comedy country song, you will find on Wise & Wicked. June 28. 2008. It’ll save me typing it again. Still chuckle about it after all this time.

BLOGGERS EXERCISE – CHEPS
This comment by Jack shows an opportunity for you to ‘link’ a You Tube clip, or a website URL into your ‘comment’. I have doctored Jack’s comment (as Editor) but had Jack simply opened the relevant You Tube clip, and then ‘cut and pasted’ it into the URL http:// space on the Comment Box, his Name would have been hotlinked! The end result is that the name of the Subscriber is underlined and if you ‘mouseover’ it will show the page, which will open on a double click.
Geddit?
PS: Or was it the clip from the 29th June? Jack. Linked to “Editor” above!

Neither of those. My blog followed your input about Natalie Cole singing the Frog song that Swanny likes. My blog was about my narrow squeek in Hartlepool, for Dave.

Jack, I just looked in the Wild and Wicked and in one post I think by Swanny, famous people in Bermuda. We had a few in Jamaica, yep Errol Flynn had an island in Port Antonio.
I have a photo of Norman Wisdom with some of the lads, I think I mentioned in some blog, Seawife the movie with Richard Burton and Joan Collins was made there and we took part in it.
So if anyone wants the picture of Joan kissing me, it will cost you, OK? I will only accept US$.

Hi Dave.
That was Swanny’s post (as you call it). He was saying about Tommy Steele. Joan Collins? How did you get through all that make-up without a blow lamp and paint scraper?
Johnny Cash had a house up in the Blue Mountains but that was many years after us.

That guy was brave, putting his hand in there, some of those fish are huge and can swallow a duck in one gulp. I went ice fishing a couple of time but its not my bag. Too bloody cold out there on the ice. Hey there are some views like the 2nd pic near where I live.

OOPS forgot, who do I send pics to for posting?
ED: Dave – they all need to finish up here on my email djkl157@gmail.com for publishing, but if you are gonna snailmail anything I’ll send you my OZ address separately. I shall require .jpeg digital shots, 500 dpi, 300 resolution.

Dave, can’t wait for pics of you doing a bit of ice fishing and blubber chewing.

Welcome aboard, Dave.
It is good see your photos.
My wife, Nora, and I had a very enjoyable stay in Banff, when we did a coast to coast trip across Canada a few years ago.
We have very happy memories of a trip to the top of Sulphur Mountain, a canoe trip down Bow River, Helicopter ride over the Rockies, visiting Lake Louise, and the Icefields Parkway, as well as walking on the glacier. The only pity is that I didn’t know that you lived in the area, then. It would have been good to meet up.

Thanks Barry, I’m glad you enjoyed your visit out here in BC . My son lives and works in Banff, he was at the Springs Hotel for 10 years. I live about 195 miles south in BC just a 3 HR drive.
I would love to meet up with all you guys, but I’m afraid it may never happen as I’m not a traveller. Oh well thank god for computers we can still shoot the sh*t.

What an impressive hotel, the Banff Springs is! Did you have the opportunity to visit it, when you son worked there? We only had the opportunity to see the springs and admire the hotel from the outside. However, we did get to enjoy an excellent lunch at Chateau Lake Louise, the other CPR world class hotel, in the area.
Dave Hutchinson // March 18, 2009 at 12:10 am |
Barry, you missed a treat not going into the Hotel. Yes we visited the hotel several times – our son paid for our one night stay there one time, lots of $$$$ for the room and he was married in the hotel 5 years ago. Your next visit you must go in and look around – you are allowed to stroll around inside.
ED: Dave, I’ve linked the hotel website to your name on this comment. Click to open.

Derek, thanks for putting the vid on. Super. How about a Reunion in there, at least I wouldn’t have to take a plane.
Editor // March 19, 2009 at 3:12 am |
Now you’re talking Dave. For years I’ve wanted to rail through the Rockies into Canada from the US. Maybe in the future ‘Ole Mate.

ED, I have informed Jack to send a couple of pics for me, as my scanner is acting up on me.
